    This is incredible?!!!! You did such an amazing job with Elmyra’s voice. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a character study of her that was so nuanced before. From her happy memories of falling in love to being disillusioned by the reality of living under the plate to her fierce protectiveness as a mom—it’s all so good! And her relationship with Aerith T_T It’s so perfect. I know what was coming at the end of the chapter but it was still completely devastating. Amazing. Time to binge the next two chapters!!!

      Thank you so much for such a lovely first comment! I didn't anticipate getting too many eyeballs on this one, but I figured there had to be a few of us out there wanted to know more about Elmyra and see her get the catharsis and closure canon didn't find time for. Her reaction to the news of Aerith's death was one of the most painful bits of writing I've ever done, but I think her loss deserved that moment in the limelight, even if it's just here for a small audience. I hope the rest of the story lives up to your expectations :)
