    YES.
    From the “Tuba Man” at the beginning to the “Now where am I going to send the thank you card?" at the end I loooooved everything about this fic *flailing*
    I just love the dichotomy between Stick-the-greatest-asshole-to-ever-live and Foggy-the-most-angelic-and-forgiving-of-humans, and their meeting, and just their general interaction – I hope the show does something similar, at least in the vein of Foggy being like “hi, you’re that asshole who abused Matt as a child, I would try and punch you if I thought I had a hope of landing it.” (fuckin’ Stick man. Always causing trouble.) Love the way you wrote his presence and how it affected Matt.
    Fogggyyyyy. Gah. Like me, reading this: “Foggy’s voice goes soft. “So how badly are you bleeding?”” = me turning into an emotional mess.
    Aaaand this fic, with its serious emotional punch, also had a perfect touch of humor like “…Not that Karen’s coffee isn’t a delicious elixir in its own right, of course,” he adds, turning to look at her. Karen snorts. “Last week you said my coffee tasted like it had been brewed through a hobo’s underwear.” “And I’m sure some people like it that way.”” I stg I was dying at that line.
    And I adore how you addressed the “Matty” thing like, in the show I’m p sure Stick’s the only one who calls him that, but in the comics that’s generally Foggy’s cute lil affectionate thing and I’m like NO. Only people who LOVE Matt get to call him that. So "I like it when you call me Matty” slayed me a little bit.
    Also, slayage may have occurred at the imagery of Matt sitting on Foggy’s fire escape pining away night after night. And at the idea of Matt basically flying through Foggy’s window to come to his rescue when Stick showed up at this apt to drop the love-bomb.
    And of course, when they finally figure it all out, I had to physically retrain myself from doing a victory dance.
    Emotion! “Foggy, you’re the reason I can fight the good fight.”
    Humor! “You can fulfill all my feverish college fantasies when you haven’t just sprained your gall bladder and broken all your toes.”
    More emotion! “Matt combs his fingers through Foggy’s hair, enjoying the way it makes the clean familiar smell of it bloom in the air…”
