      Ah okay. For the last question, they (I don't know the spider's gender, so I'm going with they) actually appear in this chapter for like half a second, in the paragraph after I describe Peni! As for the gear, it's locked in a separate storage room somewhere in the facility. Once they make their escape, that room is one of they places they make a quick stop at before they leave.

          Ohhhh! Okay, I'd say that the spider just hid somewhere in the labs, casing the joint until they could find a way into the dragon room and Peni's enclosure
