Usually I try to avoid love triangle stories, but I do remember you as the author of "that fantastic story about tinder and scared Marinette", so I decided to give this story a chance and I don't regret my decision! :)
It's such a promising setup, although I can feel that my heart is going to ache a lot for both Marinette and Kagami (and for Adrien too, of course). I can also sense a mental breakdown coming for Marinette and her Ladybug's responsibilities. It's not fair that she has to lie so much, put a lot of effort into fighting Hawkmoth and being a Guardian, and get almost nothing in return. She saves the city, yes, but at what cost?
I also wonder if she decides to tell her parents truth one day (that might be a huge decision worth entire fic though).
All in all, great beginning, you already have my heart!
I gotta say, your comment really made me nervous, because I was just sitting there, wondering if I wrote “Generic Love Triangle Story #23656”. I really hope I didn’t. I’m still nervous. I’d be really curious to see what you think about the love triangle later on!
And – thank you for giving this fic a chance despite your dislike for love triangles!
I hope I’ll be able to live up to expectations, and I hope that it won’t hurt too much to see all three of them struggle. You’re right, Marinette telling her parents about it would really warrant a whole new fic dealing with the consequences.
