    Omg Riss. ;0; this was pure perfection. As usual! Like you said, grief is a complicated thing. And you portrayed all the stages Mickey went through so well. I love how you included the canon episode and gave us a look I to how we got to the point of 11.09. /cries

      Stephi! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I liked a lot of what we got to see in 11.09, but I felt like I wanted more context for everything that was happening. Particularly Ian's side -- but also how insanely unfair it is that Mickey had to do all of this stuff alone, save for his husband.

      I truly do believe Ian loves Mickey in a way that's really healing for him. And is completely different from what he experienced even in his warmer family relationships.
