I like to see Frederick suffer a bit, too. He did treat Anne like crap the entire time, so if he feels a tinge of jealousy and his confidence drops a bit, well, so be it ;-) Gosh, I sound evil, don't I? I am still rooting for them, though!
That is how I go about writing anything for Persuasion - rooting for the Anne/Frederick endgame, but absolutely okay with torturing Frederick on the way there. ;)
