This is so cute! I absolutely love Dot's voice and her observations -- arranging radishes for a picnic, considering sprouts, regarding Phryne's collarbone warily as one might watch an alleycat recently taken into your home -- and that it's Dot drawing out Phryne, asking her to the sunrise, unable to leave Phryne's room. It's beautifully observed, and I love Dot's impressions of Phyrne, how Phyrne takes over her thoughts, but Dot is still very much in control. I love that Phryne asks her directly “Are you trying to romance me, Miss Williams?” It's all so romantic, and so, so sweet. I love that you've given space for this to exist between them. Utterly lovely!
