YES YES YES oh man im so glad im finally back to reading this which might be my favorite piece of dark souls fic i've ever laid eyes on - once again i don't know where to begin with what parts are my favorite but this certainly stood out to me : "But when she approaches the fire it disappears, and in its place, there is a great orb. It’s black, and haunting, and she loves it intensely, tenderly; she wants to keep it safe, to hold it, to make sure everyone sees it too.
She wants the Dark Sun to behold its beauty too, for some reason. A strange ring of fire covers it as she stands besotted with its perfection, and she feels a great and indescribable grief as the ring burns."
like, wow, wow, wow, i am totally entranced by your anastacia and her indescribable draw towards the truth or whatever truth she can find and however she can find it - the way she goes from terror at the sight of someone so beautiful and inhumanly powerful and storming with rage and pride and grief as gwyndolin to fearlessly picking herself apart just to put herself back together at a different angle with a little more of HER inside at the sight of the mother statue. she's great sorry if this waxes TOO poetic im just very excited. onward i read just wanted to leave thoughts
