    I’m glad you enjoyed my comments because writing them is like my tingly rush of serotonin for the day. I was a writing major so it’s ingrained in me not to consume a fine piece of literature quietly.

    There were soooo many moments I wanted to reach into my phone and either shake Jungkook very gently or gives him a hug. Particularly, when he said he was living for his own survival and when he mentions not wanting to teach everyone the ship’s controls because it would make his presence unnecessary. Jungkook’s loneliness is so evident in this story and it seems like the kind where he won’t be able to just snap his fingers and move past it. I’m sure it’s safe to assume that nobody is going anywhere anytime soon, so I’m curious to see how he handles their continued presence.

    In that last bit where Jimin and Taehyung both tell Jungkook to go rest, you can see a sort of contrast between how they both care for Jungkook. Taehyung and Jungkook seem to be aloof with each other out of self preservation, but their past makes it so there’s still something there between them even if it’s faint. Jimin is a fresh new character in Jungkook’s life, so it seems like he can be more open in the care he shows Jungkook.

    That little moment where Jungkook feels a bit of jealousy looking at Jimin and Taehyung—omg I felt that in my chest. The idea of being rejected out of necessity is so heart breaking to me and it really serves to not villianize either party, but makes you root for it to work out the second time around. My lil guess of this chapter is their past will make it so it takes longer for them to get together, or at least Tae won’t be the first one that Jungkook sort of breaks his lonely grumpy barrier with. My gut wants to say it’ll be Jimin, but I’m sure there’s room for surprises.

    I was interested to learn that Jin and Namjoon were sort of the first of their little crew. Jin is still a bit of an elusive character to me (in a good way) so I’m curious to see more of him in future chapters. I loved learning why Namjoon was put on the naughty list. I suppose I was right in guessing that he’s not actually an evil supervillain. His backstory really expanded the world further and I’m just always here for corrupt governments and the characters who try to turn to override them.

      "you can see a sort of contrast between how they both care for Jungkook" this is an interesting observation. your interpretation here - "Taehyung and Jungkook seem to be aloof with each other out of self preservation" - is 100% valid of course but it might evolve once you have more context. i dont want to say too much haha

      im interested to hear at what point you'll say the "lonely grumpy barrier" is broken (since im not sure i could pinpoint a specific scene myself!). for now i wont say anything to confirm or deny what you predict :)

      it's funny you say jin is an elusive character because I AGREE! (im writing his POV chapter right now)

        LOL no pffftt I'm harmless. You're the engineer which equals a degree in steam punk sky pirate ships if I'm not mistaken.

        There's still so much more to learn about Jungkook and Taehyung's story, so I am very curious to see how my observation will evolve. I'm already changing my mind and I haven't even read on yet ahaha. Also, I will take note of when I notice the great disintegration of the grumpy barrier. ALSO, I'm very excited to read a Jin POV chapter. I was wondering if there would be one.

        But yes, you're welcome! I should be thanking you for gifting me with such content. Expect me back here in the same place next weekend as I like to save my fic reading for those days so I can ~immerse~ myself ahaha
