    Whether or not Harry was actually expelled was left unclear deliberatley. I tried to hint at Lupin maniuplating things so Harry has no future in the Muggle world so he has no choice but to go to Hogwarts. All those other schools didn't just reject him either, just Harry made the mistake of using Lupin as an intermiedary as he trusted no other adult to do it for him.

      And that makes him as bad as Dumbledore. I hope in your story since Harry is supposedly smart that he never trusts either of them
