    Well looks like Luz is stuck in a place where everything around her is trying to kill her. Not so different from canon really.

    I liked the parallel s between Anne and Luz and their mothers nice touch there.

    Sasha is still the same, but unlike in canon Anne seems more willing to listen to her considering how "supportive" she's been Kind of wonder how reluctant she was to steal the box after Sasha helped her, like she trusts her more now.

    And Marcy seems to have been looking for the box for a while now so that means she didn't find professor Ps book but also might have been planning this for a while?

    Anyway next chapter were back in Amphibia, man I've missed that place the last two months, looking forward to it.

      I guess when you put it that way, no it's not so different. And there might be even more similarities next chapter.....

      Yeah I felt it was good to have both girls have a conversation with their mothers, even though they didn't end up telling their mothers the truth I wanted them to have a nice moment with their moms

      Yeah it was probably easier for Sasha to convince Anne to steal the box cause she's been so "supportive"

      Obviously I wrote this before TC, but it seemed like there was a good chance that Marcy knew the box would take them to a new world. My headcannon is that she had been slightly interested in the box having already heard about it, and in the back of her mind thought it would be cool to test out someday, but then the news about moving happened and Marcy put her plan into overdrive. Plus she kind of asked Luz for "permission" to take her to a new world.

      New chapter will be interesting, you'll finally see who Luz interacts with in Amphibia, looking forward to what you think of that....
