ahhh i'm so glad to hear all of this, finding a way of doing outlines that Works really does make the whole process go so much smoother once you've got it!!
but also gosh "I suddenly have a lot more story to tell than i thought" is truly an entire Mood. i have been there and it is both overwhelming but also genuinely thrilling. i am keeping my fingers crossed for you being able to get a buffer in place bc it genuinely does take so much pressure off posting and makes uploading longfic so much more enjoyable 🤞🤞🤞
JRPG pacing is a law unto itself. like i realised that as much as i love ffx SO much wild lore gets dropped on you in the final hour of the game with minimal foreshadowing beforehand that if you aren't levelgrinding after you get the airship you spend the entire final battle in shock trying to process what just happened. like it's good immersion bc this is probably how the party is feeling too but also, P L S
