>We’ve seen time and again how much damage a small force of such clones can inflict, Skorr. I want them found and eliminated immediately.” Good that he's taking this seriously. The four men of a commando squad alone are a much bigger threat than the number four implies, and they've got ARCs down there too.
>Yes. Do that, Skorr. You’ve proven you aren’t capable of much else. *snort*
>Take out the organic officer and you severely limit the droids’ ability to respond to changing battlefield conditions. Wonder how droid programming changed in response to this, if at all, unless the CIS decided to spend their resources for this problem elsewhere
>He needed another few steps before he could make the jump to the open crew doors, and he didn’t have them. This whole scene would look great in a comic book.
>Saleucami was crawling with bugs this time of year and one of the most numerous was a species of white-shelled, black-eyed beetle. The resemblance to the plastoid armored clone troopers was obvious Cool detail and worldbuilding!
>As much as Skorr was still looking forward to killing more troopers I hope they take you out first. 😬 Reading about these guys dying horribly isn't super fun.
>Predators I know what this refers to but my brain keeps inserting the UAV into the imagery instead.
Is Ogdai's name a reference to the Mongol Emperor?
I don't have any expectations for where this is all going or what's going to happen in the end, so it's pretty effective at making me concerned for the GAR here.
>This whole scene would look great in a comic book. Agreed! If only I could draw...
>Cool detail and worldbuilding! Bug-boys was the best I could come up with. Pejorative nick-names are part and parcel of any two groups that end up at each other's throats. They're bound to come up with something, even if a sense of humor isn't exactly the first trait the CIS was looking for when the selected Bok as their prime clone.
>I hope they take you out first. 😬 Reading about these guys dying horribly isn't super fun. I know. I love the Fett clones so much, it was hardly satisfying writing these scenes. But the Shadow Army is described as being top notch in the comics, but then they're never showing landing a single blow against a Jedi or clone in their entire arc. I had to show them living up to their reputation here.
>Is Ogdai's name a reference to the Mongol Emperor? You're the first reader to notice that. There was no deliberate attempt at referencing the personality or history of Ogedei the emperor, but I think I had recently read a historical fiction series about the Mongol Empire before writing this story and his name came to mind and lined up well enough with other Nikto names.
