    Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from someone who knows Austen. Also, I really feel like I should go watch more Hornblower--I saw about ten minutes of one once and that's all. Maybe it would help me with the Navy bits. :) Thanks for reviewing! I hope the rest of the story lives up to your early impressions!

      Yes, watching Hornblower can help you get used to the life of the British navy. I read all of the books that the series was based on. Even though I didn't understand most of the navy terms and techniques (because the author goes into extreme detail), I did pick up on some things. Plus, Hornblower is just an amazing series.
