Comment on About a Girl

  1. Did you find one? Because that sounds like THE BEST writing soundtrack for this story? Personally I think Dea is my favourite, because I have an internal war about Dean in my head where I'm like DEAN WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN SEXIST and then I'm like BUT WHEN'S THE LAST TIME HE ACTUALLY MET A WOMAN and then I'm like I CARE ABOUT YOUR MAN PAIN BUT I DON'T WANT TO BECAUSE YOU'RE A JERK. Whereas Cas is just gr8. So Dea has the edge for me :))

And of course I don't mind!! It's made my morning to have these lovely comments to sink my teeth into :D

    1. Yay, that's nice to hear :D (I should really check for responses--and updates! :)--more often lol)

And I love your reasoning as to why Dea has the edge over woman Cas, haha! Actually, rereading bits of this, I'm super interested in getting the full backstory of their relationship, which I'm hoping will happen closer to when they all meet (!!). I like reading about awesome women being together, but I also like when woman-woman relationships are given room to be complicated and sometimes-imperfect, too, if that makes sense? (Partly because that usually means more wordcount devoted to them :P)

Which is to say I'm super happy that someone who's so good at writing established relationships (that's you btw) is writing a female Dea and Cas relationship.

(Also, I wish! I did find a couple videos of live performances that I really liked (one by a tribute band called ThundHerStruck and one with Lzzy Hale singing over an acoustic cover, if you wanna check them out) but no studio versions and alas no specifically lesbian/bi/pan woman covers, which would have been nice :'(. )

      1. Yes! I hope there will be more of that when they all meet (so excited!!!) -- I'm excited for that and how male Dean and Cas are going to find it all. Ah, well you know how much I love writing imperfect relationships, so hopefully you'll like it when they get more stage time together :D
