I think Dumbledore is partially a plot device and partially the power's gotten to his head, but he's also the man standing before the mirror of Erised full of deep, deep regrets. I can respect him for his regrets, if nothing else. And I think he respects Harry for not having any.
Clowder makes me think chowder which reminds me that it's dinner time and I'm hungry :D

A group of cats is called a clowder of cats, a group of ducks is called a flock of ducks, I thought a group of crumple-horned snorkacks would be called a clowder because snorkack rhymes with cat.
