Since this is my fifth time reading through this whole fic, I figure it's about time I commented on it.
''Too Good of a Timing'' is sublime. It manages to create an incredibly unique premise with great pacing and phenomenal character interaction and development. At the core of this fic is a deep understanding of who Subaru and Ram, which leads to massive payoff as what they've gone makes them change their views on each other and leads them to grow as people. I simply cannot get enough of it.
I absolutely love how well your portrayal of Ram is. She very much still keeps her obstinate and closed off attitude in the beginning, but you see her drop those walls as the reality of the situation closes in. Her intelligence and cool-headed attitude is highlighted very well in the early chapters, which serves as a great contrast to the physical and emotional turmoil she exhibits later on. I especially love how you showed her negative sides as well, such as her lack of tact or selfish in wanting to save Rem regardless of what she needs to others or, in this case, Subaru. That sort of imperfection coupled with the great dynamic she has with Subaru makes her so enjoyable here!
Speaking of Subaru, he is handled excellently. While the sacrifice needed for it is great, his awareness of his capabilities earlier on and consequent more analytical approach is a fascinating development with tons of possibilities, while not seeming like something implausible for him to reach at this moment in time. Despite all that, he does not lose who he is at heart: an awkward dork with a heart of gold a disturbing lack of self-worth. His voice exactly as it was in canon, which shows how well you've gotten his character.
Having read through this long after the revisions to earlier chapters, I found no dips in quality throughout the whole run. That, I feel, shows your dedication to your work and I respect it very much.
In short, I am enamored with this fic and eagerly await what's to come!
Wait it's possible to send pictures here wow, anyway thanks for the comment, i appreciate the feedback, me and graf Worked pretty hard on this, about the characters accuracy i usually rewatch all the ram and some of Subaru scenes in the anime and re read some parts of the novels too before starting to write as to get a gasp of the characters, and for the story sorry for not updating, i am very busy with exams rn, calculus do he hard, should be finished around the end of june
No worries! Take all the time you need! I'm in the middle of that as well, so I can get how it can get pretty hectic.
