    I know that this question may have been asked before and may have some elements from other stories influencing me, but I’ve got to ask, is Izuku’s original quirk going to make an appearance sometime, or somehow end up returning to him in someway?

      Questions like this are really hard to answer... that's not your fault, it's just hard to find the right balance in an answer.

      I mean, I didn't come right out and say that he would have had a quirk... AFO would have had no way of knowing for sure, it was an act of desperation hoping Izuku would have something he could use, but he can't steal a quirk that doesn't exist (and if it hasn't manifested yet, that amounts to the same thing) - that *is* a major hint about how the AFO quirk works in this AU, either way. Izuku appears to be quirkless in canon, right? So maybe there was nothing to take. But if I were, it would be a HUGE reveal and a major plot point, which probably gives more information than I should. It will be addressed before the end of the story, I promise.

      It's like Terminator 2 (spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen this movie from 1991): If you watched the trailer, you knew Robert Patrick's character, the T-1000, was a bad guy going into it. You also knew that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a good guy. But if you watch the movie without having seen the trailer, it isn't until halfway through that you find out these details. Yes, they wanted to show off the special effects, but arguably THE big reveal of the movie was already known before people went to see it.
