My heart! You've really hit me in the feels with Jordan's angst about his relationship with Sarah and about his understanding of himself. I'm sure her nebulous directive to "start over" was the last thing a person with his anxiety needed. On top of everything else, it's surprising he's holding himself together--and holding onto his patience--as well as he is.
These brutal "this is who I am" reveals are my favorites. They can be so hard to read, but they're also the ones that really force our characters to deal with all the extremes of their unusual states. I love that Jordan goes for the bone with his, instead of trying to downplay the effects of the Kryptonite or to sneak away on foot. Even calling his dad to pick him up would have mitigated a lot. Instead, he goes for the most dramatic and direct emphasis by flying away. And I also love the Sarah's shock doesn't stop her from taking the responsible, and human, step of being the one to call his dad.
He also goes for the bone with shutting down his dad's guilt--and well he should have, too. That really wasn't the time or place for it, Clark.
