Can there be a love gesture more profound than keeping the bookshop at pleasant temperature during the opening hours for your demon’s sake? And then the angel didn’t get himself a snack in order not to disturb Crowley’s slumber on top of that? I’m surprised that Crowley didn’t find himself melting from the sheer love radiating from those actions. I absolutely love the description of the cold, needy demon and the way Aziraphale is so very prepared to fuss over him. The notion that they only now get to discover those little things about themselves after six millennia of knowing each other was an excellent touch and makes the whole scene so much more meaningful, because while it might be just comfort and warmth on a cold day, it is only not that they actually get to have it. Thank you for sharing this. ❤️
