This is such a fun crossover! I love Kat and Susan individually, and pairing them together is such a treat. I like this as a happy ending for Susan, beyond her bittersweet memories of Narnia and the life she left behind-- just enjoying her own life on Earth and suffering through this ridiculous American holiday with Kat.
“Susanarina,” Kat says thoughtfully, bringing her hands (and Susan’s wrists) down to rest on her bedspread. “It’s not a bad name, all things considered.”
I love their banter and this sweet little scene-- verging on romantic, even if neither one is quite ready to acknowledge it yet.
Susan has to look away, overwhelmed by a burst of affection.
Aaargh this is so cute and sweet. My heart.
“Kat…” Susan can’t speak over the lump in her throat. She reaches for Kat’s hand, lying on the table between them.
So sweet! I love how playful they are, teasing each other, but how they're both so vulnerable and gentle with each other when it counts. You've written lovely chemistry between them, and an adorable story.
