Comment on Time And Relative Mischief in Space

  1. Oh, what a fun idea for a mashup. These two are GREAT together! And it had to be Ten, I think; best match for Loki's energy, IMO, of the modern Whos. (Though any of them might've been fun.)

Loved the series of "what" (two out of three), and Ten's little narrative when he figured out the nature of the intruder. This (and the remainder of the paragraph)is just pitch perfect:

"That's what you are, a genuine frost giant!" The other was carrying on, seemingly completely ignoring Loki but still grinning like a lunatic, "Coldest creatures in the universe, you lot are, not particularly known for your warm welcomes, either, but biggest ice palaces this side of the Medusa Cascade. Oh, you're beautiful..."

The description of Loki falling through the cold void at the beginning is also very effective. And this bit: "Let him who is nothing rejoin the nothing in its most pure and absolute form, an icy voice in his head supplied."

The solemnity and hopelessness of the opening scene is a great juxtaposition to how silly things get once Loki crashes into the Tardis and ends up in the pool. Including his perception of Ten as resembling "an accountant in a tizzy" and being "stark raving mad."

You have such nice touch for humor, which isn't always so easy to write. I expect the remaining 18 chapters to be a great ride in all senses of the word!

    1. Aahaha, so glad you liked this one, too! :D I also agree that Ten would work best with Loki (though maybe Thirteen as well, but she didn't exist yet when I wrote this :p) but Nine and Twelve and Loki would be immediately at each other's throats and Eleven, I think Loki would probably jump back out of the TARDIS lol. I really enjoy having that change from dramatic and solemn to funny from scene to scene in my stories and Loki and Ten, with their baggage and trauma but also THE most eccentric personalities and ways of coping and fighting are the perfect characters for this, especially if you stick them into a classic Doctor Who episode plot, veering between then ridiculous and the terrifying. Thank you very much for that lovely review! :D
