    Deadlock was serious business. He was a fierce and merciless warrior. The Autobots should be terrified of him!

    Deadlock eventually becoming Drift reminds me of an abused dog that I adopted. She was terrible at first, all growls and snarls. But after lots of love and dedication, she slowly began to come out of her shell. Given a chance to be herself in a loving environment transformed her. I feel like Deadlock needs a chance to know someone cares about him. He has a huge crush on Ratchet, but never considers the possibility that the medic cares for him too. It's a good thing he was assigned to be Hot Rod's bodyguard. Because Hot Rod is nothing if not loyal to his friends!

      Yes, definitely! I know that love and patience can change and health the soul but what I find difficult to grasp is the drastic change like we didn't get to see the process of his transition.. I would have loved to see (comics) Deadlock struggling to be better, Ratchet helping him, Drift dealing with trauma, having nightmares of his past (the shadow of Deadlock surfacing now and there to mock him) etc... I guess that I just wanted to see more of his development :,3

        Yes! YES!! YEESSSS!!! We could have had it all!

        We only get the tiniest bit of Deadlock transitioning into Drift during his time with Wing in the Drift Miniseries. But it's just the very beginning! There should have been so much more. Honestly, Empire of Stone really dropped the ball. Ratchet left the Lost Light to bring Drift back and that would have been the perfect place for some character development. Drift is on his own again, reflecting on all the things he's done, physically beating himself up over it, and Ratchet waltzes right back into his life. I would have loved to see Drift struggling with he wants to be versus who he was for so long and Ratchet help him through it all. It would have been perfect... *sigh* I guess we'll just have to write it ourselves lol!
