  1. I WAS WRITING A HUGE REPLY TO THAT BUT ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT OH MY GOD WHY DOES AO3 HAVE THE CANCEL BUTTON IN COMMENTS, JUST WHYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! I can't even restore it and i already have troubles with writing things in English, WHYY. /crying/
I hate when it happens. It's not like there was something great but it was a lot of text and now I just want to sleep.

    Anyways,
I would also enjoy the outsider perspective fic for the Wayne's family dentist. Few ideas for the story appeared in my mind now. I mean, I have enough study materials and friends to write it but not in English, so I won't even try hahhahaha. Maybe we'll see a future when people remember about teeth in their fics and comics.. Someday... 😆
But then again, no one ever mentions all the CTEs and other things, because they aren't, er, canon compliant (everyone knows that by now batman should

    1. I hate my fingers (sent it unfinished), sorry for all the notifications, I get it, i should just write all my comments out of ao3 before sending it.

      SO
(everyone knows that by now batman should lay down and whine in pain with dull eyes in our world). So we all just assume that medicine in their world is much more advanced and affordable.

And thank you for reminding me that I have to stop read so much fanfiction and return to classic. Nah, I am fanfic addict (aren't we all) although the last remnants of my brain are rotting away because of this hahahhaah. Yes, I should at least re-read some of Dostoevsky (i try not to remember his bio whole reading his creations though....)
By the way, is the C&P translation good to read? I read it only in Russian so I don't know.

Sorry again for being so sloppy with commenting 😭 i accidentally deleted it THREE more times while i was trying to write the comment again, I can't

I really like the translation of C&P I read, which is the modern Pevear and Volokhonsky translation, which has sort of become the standard, but I can't read Russian and I've not read any other translation. I have read two different versions of Notes from Underground and I really did enjoy their version, though it had been years since I'd read the other translation (by Hugh Aplin, I believe). I am depressingly monolingual; my only other language I know with any degree of familiarity is Latin.

And yeah, reading classics is always rough because a lot of classic authors have nasty things in their pasts. I'm good at compartmentalizing (perhaps too good). You'll notice I'm using a lot of T.S. Eliot, who was also not a great example of humanity. It helps that most of these people are long dead, I think.

And yeah, regarding medical stuff, there's absolutely no way any of these characters should even be alive. I'm not a medical professional, but I have been a loved one's caretaker, and so when I read about hospitalizations I always have to turn off my brain that wants to yell about protecting airways and NG tubes and catheters, because literally who wants to read about that in a fanfic?

Sorry for the late reply; I haven't had time to touch this in weeks.
