      In most fics, when PK learns they ain’t hollow this early, he either pushes both of them down the Abyss or becomes a good/decent dad.

      Here I’m getting the impression that while he acknowledges they have their own will/mind, he is still going to treat them as tools (at least at first).
      He is repeating his mantra to try and justify his actions to himself, to distance himself from thinking about how many of his kids he sent to their deaths.

      So yeah, this set up has caught my attention. Plus, sibling shenanigans in the White Palace is always fun.
