Elwing stole baby Maedhros?!? Things just keep getting weirder for him! Maedhros - bloody minded and suspicious about his grandmother's death - obviously thought Finwe was talking about killing people. Finwe appears to have instead been thinking about how his eldest grandchild is trying to shine outside his father's shadow and how he probably should have encouraged such a thing in his second son so they weren't competing. I did like his advice on how obstacles become routes for improvement and ingenuity, but Maedhros obviously didn't take it that way.
Not that Finwë's an innocent, but Maedhros has seen so much more in his life and is, I cannot stress this enough, a paranoid bastard.
I thought the advise was pretty neat too. Pity the audience was not very receptice... this will be fun clearing all this up down the line.
And Fingon was not wrong about Maedhros sticking his nose into trouble. Unfortunately, teen Maitimo is attracting all kinds of trouble without looking for it! Hehe...
