  Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and my depiction of Aule's side of the story. Sauron's story does have the sort of feel of one of the great Shakespeare tragedies; he could have been one of the great heroes of Arda if he had not joined Morgoth, I believe.

    Aulë has quickly become my favorite Vala, also partly because of this story! He's so compassionate and hopeful, I love how you portrayed him! This story has also made me appreciate Sauron a lot more as a character, so much so I've decided to include him in a one-shot I'm writing! He's such a nuanced character.
