    I hope it will also address the fact that the popular acronym for Omegaverse is the worst possible slur in Australian English, on par with the N word. I know that AO3 generally takes a user-driven approach to tags, but in this specific instance, I think they should reconsider.

        I thought about demonstrating how untrue that is by typing out the N word with slashes between the letters. But you can probably use your imagination.

          Though I would like to clarify (because I saw confusion in a discussion elsewhere) that I am not Aboriginal, just a white Australian who has seen Indigenous people feeling unwelcome in fandom because of the acronym.

            Sorry for assuming, and thank you for both raising it and clarifying. ❤️

            My point still stands, though, that user was behaving wrongly by responding to a point we have repeatedly demonstrated hurt over by deciding for us that it's not actually a problem.
