  1. Oooh yeah, I was full on expecting the Yiga to turn sides because Vesan is basically the equivalent of the less assholish and better connected son of the psychotic mafia boss, but I definitely didn't expect Ghirahim of all people to give a sales pitch (My way or the HighWay? Shovel Talk? Something like that) to Kohga.

Kohga is the reincarnation of a particularly vicious Pug, the leader Team Rocket deserved, and can balance Ghirahim almost perfectly with his silly antics and rabid charm, i can honestly see why the Yiga are so obsessed with him and would love to see how him and Vesan would influence each other.

Well, assuming they really Do switch sides in the first place, the general Yiganess of Yiga clan functions (almost) perfectly like the provervial obfuscating stupidity (because they really ARE that stupid), which means that it can be surprising how competent they can be once they put their minds to something and at the end of the day they ARE a clan of assassins specializing in infiltration and deception.

    1. Back a couple chapters ago when I decided Vesan needed to give the Yiga a visit, I honestly never even thought about it too hard - just go there, beat 'em all up, and get the thing, lol. But it really would have been a shame to throw them out after just a chapter or two. It also felt natural (to me, anyway) for Ghirahim to be the one to give the sales pitch - even if he's too self-centered and cruel to deliver it more... convincingly.

I think Ghirahim really devotes himself to Demise in his appearances - probably way too hard - even following Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors and noting that Ganondorf reminds him of Demise (may his reign never cease!). I just want to transfer a bit of that same feral devotion to Vesan... albeit, often with less actual respect.

Really had to watch a lot of clips of Master Kohga from BOTW and Age of Calamity to try to figure this guy out, but I'm becoming more and more of a fan! He's absolutely wonderful - glad I didn't let him fall into the naughty Yiga time-out pit after all.
