LOve it!~ The melancholy feeling is so real! Poor Bruce is so selfless! And love his care and protectiveness of Arthur and Arthur care and protectiveness of Bruce. I still want my love triangle! I MEAN if it's a love trianglr then Bruce would be in love with Arthur but know his mission in Gotham mean they would rarely meet yet he can't not choose Gotham and Clark one sided love will grow within time since as land dweller and Superman he would work alongside Bruce a lot more than King Arthur with his many obligation can and Bruce feeling for Clark will deepen. So Highly possible the winner is Clark and Arthur who rarely saw Bruce will fall inlove with his orang hair, dynamic female bodyguard. Happy ending eventhough it will be angsty for awhile for Arthur but I always believe god had someone for everyone, if not here on earth then in heaven afterlife!
This IS a very melancholy fic, isn't it? The love triangle is definitely there, I couldn't keep it out--no one could know Bruce that well and not love him, after all! I like your version of it very much...
