    Yes, Laboon is Brook's daemon! Brook will, of course, be appearing in the next chapter :) Hmm, I haven't intended to write the whole daemon/person separation occurring like that, but I don't see why you couldn't think that! That's actually quite a neat idea, and I suppose with my vague explanations, it could work! I don't think I've really thought about why Devil Fruits cause separation, just that they do. I do like your ideas though! But just to clarify - and as I re-read Robin's line, I realise where the confusion is - Robin does know how her daemon settled. What she's saying, instead, if that she doesn't know if there's a correlation between eating a Devil Fruit and what animal a daemon settles. As her own Devil Fruit and daemon is her only data-point, she can't test this hypothesis.
