Hehe don’t worry! I don’t want any spoilers. I like being surprised by your plot. My questions are just rhetorical to show my interest and the things you’re making me wonder. They make good topics of discussion! Even if I don’t want you to tell me what’s gonna happen, still fun to talk to you about them!
And yep Aang is completely out of his element. That’s kinda the flaw of the Avatar. Sure he’s a symbol or whatever but when facing people in the shadows it’s tough. Even more tough is when there’s no “bad guys” at all. Let’s face reality, ‘bad guys’ and ‘good guys’ are not real. In reality everyone has their motives and while obviously there are those who are worse than others, most want the best for themselves and those they care about. Even if they are harming people to that end. It’s harder for Aang to justify his involvement when he can’t say ‘I’m with the good guys facing the big evil’ cuz there is no big evil. Just people with their own beliefs and fighting for those beliefs.
And I’m super curious on what this lynchpin game changer is gonna be! I know it must have something to do with whatever Azula and co are gonna stumble on. I just hope whatever power is discovered stays in Azula’s capable hands and doesn’t just whoopsie into some big bad’s hands and everything goes to crap again. But knowing you you’ll probably make the characters suffer hehe. Im excited to find out tho!
The terrible event is in my summary, so I guess I can share. A plague is coming that will change international relations.
And don't doubt Aang’s skills just yet; he had trouble with Sor Yun’s zealotry but he is more competent at international relations. Aang is an odd combination of idealism and practicality by my estimation. He obviously wasn't a fool in Canon and he won't be one here. But he does need more experience.
