    What is this weird style of writing? Why do the characters hardly speak? Why are their lines defined with bulletpoints instead of quotations? (The usual and correct way to define spoken words in writing)

    •this is a bulletpoint, used to make information stand out in a professional document when multiple points at once need to be made

    And why is there a header every few paragraphs? Are those new chapters I’m supposed to mentally separate from the last ones? Are you introducing new scenes in the same chapter, like just putting the characters in a new setting?

    ….are you trying to be a unique writer? Please don’t say its that.

    Ngl I keep seeing this fanfic pop up when I’m looking for a good read and I really can’t read past all of these “design choices” I’m assuming these things are. Its not just you but I’m reading through a lot of fics and wondering when hobby writers stopped paying attention in english class. You gotta know English and how to write it if you’re gonna write a story and you want everyone to understand whats going on. Probably missed out on a lot of readers writing like this, should try the correct way and I bet you’re an outstanding writer. I used to pull 40k words a fic and hundreds if not thousands of readers, I STILL get emails a decade after I quit, people commenting and asking me when I’m gonna wrote more. Won’t say my english is perfect thats a lie but I at least tried to make my stuff readable

      Its not just you either I’m seeing like half a dozen other writers write this way and its ACTUALLY MAKING MY HEAD HURT is NO ONE PARTICIPATING IN ENGLISH CLASS AT ALL ANYMORE

      All of those funny little symbols on our keyboards EACH stand for a specific thing, what person that actually knows english is going to understand how to read this random bullarky?? You’re only getting another comment cuz I don’t feel like complaining in 2 different places just know that I can’t stand this weird ass adhd writing bull and I’ll be moving on now cuz I have fingers that work which means at this point I’m being a child when I could just leave.. just…

      God. English people. We speak it clearly if we’re all on an english fic but how does no one on this site seem to understand it anymore? Im going to have to start writing again to counteract this, aren’t I? Write my own fics I’ll show you kiddos how its done. Fire up the old laptop, dig up the old storylines and get to it write a story with better english than any of you milk-drinkers
