first of all thank you so much for all the references and citations 😍 I have been hearing about offguntay for what feels like ages but I've only ever seen off and gun together in shows so the Tay side of the triangle has remained shrouded in mystery. with this fic as a starting point and all these links to refer to for more details I can feel a whole new world of shipping opening up *__*
ANYWAY this fic! I love it. the two timelines structure works so well, I was on the edge if my seat watching all their different feelings unfold. I love Tay being the one whose feelings develop slowly and what would you know....he fell SO in love with these people he's been close to for so long 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😍😍

And oh my gosh! I am so glad to pull someone into the OffTayGun OT3 rabbithole lol. What I really enjoy about their dynamic is how comfortable they are with each other. Like TayGun will sometimes just cuddle and Off (usually) doesn't even bat an eye.
If you haven't seen any of the Tay side of the equation yet, definitely start with OffGun Fun Night Season 1, episode 3. The first season of OffGun Fun Night is the best-- super low budget and super chaotic, and the three of them are so funny together. The whole episode is gold.
I didn't find a way to squeeze it into the fic, but there are compilations of Gun doing random trust falls around Tay. He'll just let his whole body go slack and Tay is left scrambling to hold him up. I think these were filmed pre-Not Me's trust fall (possibly an inspiration), and they are so cute. Here's one quick short of one.
The Friend Drive episode 8 that I mentioned in my end notes is good too because you can see how much fun they have together. Highlights are: OffGun being disgusted by the funfetti sprinkles that Tay wants to add, but reluctantly agreeing to since he wants them so badly (8:58), Off just has telling Tay a bunch of puns to make him laugh, and Tay giving full body laughs at every joke in response (9:20), and Gun looking at the camera and then DELIBERATERLY grinding against Tay for a split second (18:49 - also check out Tay's split second shocked reaction lol).
And I don't remember the english name for this show, but Tay's traveling festival talk show episode where OffGun guest is cute and educational too. This one talks about Loy Krathong, which is the festival where people celebrate the water goddess and float things in the water (that has been referenced in a few other shows, like in Moonlight Chicken with Heart & Li Ming).
hi SO! I had already watched a bunch of these after reading your fic but SOME of the links were new so i opened this in a tab like "gotta save this to meticulously comb through and think about in great detail when i have some free time" and then i got caught up in about 20394 other things. anyway this was still open in a tab so the other day i watched the loy krathong video you linked and had a great time (gun says to tay's face "do you ship us" and tay is like "i brought you here so you could do this in public instead of in private," which, in context, WHAT a thing to say. and then later that day i was best by the MOST vivid tayoffgun angst fest plot bunny in whose au that loy krathong episode would be so much worse (more delicious due to The Dynamics) and anyway!!! i know i haven't replied in forever but this comment has been VERY on my mind, is the gist of this.
(the brownie cooking video was one of the ones i had watched earlier and when that nanosecond of grinding happened i screenshot it six way to sunday & was sending every frame to the gc going like, ARE YOU SEEING WHAT I'M SEEING HERE. gun was so SMUG and DELIBERATE. tay just looking into the camera in utter betrayal. off continuing presenting the show as if absolutely nothing is going down right next to him. it's exquisite.)
the trust falls were VERY new to me oh my god. these two are just so intense around each other wow. what a way to communicate to the world that gun loves tay's strength & attention and also that tay likes squeezing gun's tits. absolutely phenomenal work.
also i hadn't seen any off gun fun night before this (though i had read about it in a fic lmao) and this. this is such a little show. that they did. the one with them & tay is great and the one with joss??????????????? gun has TWO pets now? there are men competing for his attention? everyone's making jokes about joss's huge dick???? what a treasure trove of ideas & feelings to explore, wow.
