Thank you!!! It is definitely intended to be very meta. You have no idea how recursive this story is. Fan kids interacting online are a special breed - I wished I could go back through my DMs at that age with the girl who was HSY to me, but unfortunately MSN Messenger is defunct and those Skype chats are lost to time. To lonely kids, they're very special relationships.
I love the way you phrased that - nobody's only a consumer or creator, we're eating and being eaten. That is extremely true in this story and you'll see how important that becomes later. I'm glad that it's subtly already clear - the way that kiddo Han Sooyoung described what she thinks is the person YJH means the most, doesn't he resemble the way KDJ acts with YJH? In this story, because this story is fanfic, KDJ loves fanfic in a special way.
I think of this YJH as significantly different from canon YJH, because he was saved from loneliness. YJH is defined a lot through his solitude - he makes friends, he loves, and he loses them, and it starts all over again. You can say the same about KDJ. They both love her and lose her, but she can never be lost forever. It's meaningful to the both of them. And maybe wish fulfillment. Thanks for reading!
