That's a relief, a shocking amount of people. To me, at least, still believe the doctor betrayed her. Despite the sheer logic and whatever evidence we've been provided, saying otherwise, will you eventually write a chapter with this in mind? Where characters like W and Kal'tsit learn such a devastating truth? That the Doctor was willing to make such a heavy self-sacrifice for Theresa's ideals? To risk throwing away reputation for Theresa?
With how much of a monster Pre-Amnesia Doctor apparently was, I can see why some would think that, but I feel like their loyalty was never truly in question. I did write something similar to a reveal like that in Life is But a Game, but I didn’t go fully in depth. That is a good idea to explore in the future, thank you!

Even that is a misconception, thanks to the true perspective that's revealed in the Vigilo event, the Doctor was never a monster, it was an utterly brutal war, one has to make really hard choices during such a situation, and the only people The Doctor used as expendable, were mercenaries, not official Babel operators, those that were actually close to the Doctor understand that they were a good person, Ace and Scout themselves can probably attest to that, The Doctor likely only used mercs for suicide missions, because The Doctor didn't want to lose they actually cared about.

No, I think that won't be needed, more or less, if you decide to watch the cutscenes in-game; remember that the Doctor having been a monster or heartless before the amnesia is highly likely to be false, something that I think has been far too prevalent within the game community, because of how people interpret the conversation between Hoederer and Ines.
I see what you mean. The Doctor definitely was a master manipulator though. There was the traitor who they captured after trying to kill the Doctor. They discussed what to do with the traitor but all the options would have reflected poorly on Theresa. Instead the Doctor convinced her to make a choice that led to the traitor killing himself out of shame, protecting Theresa’s reputation.

Certainly possible, but that was sadly the only likely correct course of action, and in terms of manipulation, probably only against traitors or enemies.

Also, Ines and Hoederer thinking that the Doctor was heartless or a monster isn't true; it seems like that to them since they don't personally know what the Doctor was actually like.
