LOVE THIS -- especially all the comments about governance and how like... the hard work of governance is career public servants writing policies on boring things like cauldron bottoms, the sorts of things no one thinks or cares about unless or until An Accident Happens and then it's "WHY WAS THIS ALLOWED?"
Also yes, starting or joining a guerilla private army tbat basically rejects the actual government on the face of a terrorist threat IS REALLY NOT THE WAY TO RESPOND.
