   I love this. I wish I could better describe why I like it so much, but your prose is great and both starscream's seem very in character. I enjoyed idw starscream and always thought he needed a friend that he wouldn't fear judgement from so loved that line. I liked how you portrayed him as being able to open up and be less guarded, while still in character with all his deliberate omissions and misleading answers. like the metaphor with the cliff, I can't help but fear this is temporary before he self sabotages again or something.
