I loved this chapter so much! It's absolutely hilarious every single time Ren or Martyn look at the other one and go "well damn". They're just adorable. I'm so glad that Ren's hair is all clean now! Martyn is doing such a good job of trying to be supportive and non threatening, and Ren is doing such a good job of trying to understand him, and they're both failing but that's not their faults and it's the trying that matters in this situation! They'll get there at some point! It's just that Martyn can't read minds, and Ren has literally never been anything even close to free, so understanding each other is going to take a while. I love Martyn slowly realising that maybe he doesn't want to be alone, if Ren is there. That's an important mindset to have because there is a 0% chance of him getting to the end of this journey alone. There is a much higher chance that he will end up in a large and roudy and mostly illegal group. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series takes Martyn and Ren next! And I am also very much looking forward to Febuwhump!!
