“Done by Christmas” they said. I need more! On a more serious note i was surprised that this doesn’t seem to be going in a romantic direction and it’s just them being really good friends. Not saying it’s bad. It’s a good kind of different.
Yeah my deadline keeping hasn't been my strong point with this one haha. I usually prefer to finish multi-chapter fics before uploading the first chapter so I can periodically release them in a nice neat schedule but last year I decided I wanted to drop the first chapter actually on Christmas day, assuming that I'd be able to get the rest out relatively soon... Famous last words and all! Thankfully we are in the home stretch now and I'm hoping to have the final chapter out very soon!
Yeah the dynamic between these two is something that I absolutely adore but I tend to quite strong opinions on how it's handled sometimes. Love me some WildeHopps don't get me wrong but I'm not a huge fan of stuff that just turns them into another generic dime-a-dozen lovey dobey couple. The relationship between them is one of the finest developed in recent media their love comes off as much more genuine than most strictly romantic couples I see portrayed. Overt romanticism didn't really gel with the direction I thought this story made sense to go in and so I thought it best to leave that particular avenue vacant even though - I hope- it's still obvious that they love each other and are the most important mammals in each others lives!
