    As a general rule, I don't have strong feelings about much Witcher fic. I clicked on this on a whim because the description intrigued me, and boy am I glad I did. I absolutely love the exploration of Renfri's character and her adversarial-but-fond relationship with Jaskier. It's so perfectly in character for both of them, and now I want more Renfri content, damn you :P I also really like the way you've written Jaskier as almost too principled for his own good: he won't keep Renfri bound to him even though he's desperate for her company, he won't use his magic to attack, he won't run away from Nilfgaard. Though he is undeniably a terrible flirt, I really love how you show that that's not at odds with him doing the right thing when it matters: you balance the promiscuous cad with the determined, upright kind of man who'll do anything to help a friend so perfectly.
