Comment on A Flash Of Subelements- The Senju Uzumaki Heir

  1. I love OP Naruto but I'm worried you've made him this strong and still intend him to lose fights he has no business losing. If he's as smart as you're making him out to be, he'd had Seals and contingency plans for every situation.

Also, one thing. Him being brilliant and logical is one thing, but he shouldn't have emotional maturity yet. Knowledge and wisdom are very different. Specifically, there was a line where kurama called Hinata his vixen. The insinuation should've been lost on him.

That's what made "Seals are Easy" by the Slythefoxx2 such a great story. He wrote a brilliant Naruto but understood how to keep knowledge and wisdom separate.

    1. Thank you for the comment. I will admit I was worried too, but realised that for all his training, he lacks experience. He fights with his senseis, who will hold back a little no matter how much they try to go all out, but when facing an enemy shinobi, he may not be able to as the enemy shinobi will have more experience. He will rely on a bit of luck and maybe hold back in fights in the beginning, because revealing all his cards won't be the best thing to do in the beginning itself. You'll see later if you continue reading.
And yes, a five year old with emotional maturity is not the best thing. Looking back, it was an oversight in my part and i apologise.

      Thanks for reading and reviewing.

      1. I would question how heavily the Second Hokage holds back. And I'd also weigh the experience he's getting being trained by the man higher than many others.

I'm not trying to argue. It just felt like you were trying to justify the ridiculously OP character you created losing fights he shouldn't or not being prepared for most anything. Kyubi won't be trying to take over, he has Mokuton, and has mastered at least two very deadly fighting styles. Who, outside of an Orochimaru level opponent could even slow him down at this point?

Seriously though, I enjoy reading an OP character every now and then. The story is interesting. My only really criticism would be I hope the story becomes more doing and less telling.

        1. If you don't mind me, I'd like to give my small grain to the conversation, specially about the OP character trope. See, I like OP characters, they are just satisfying, seeing them curb stomp all their enemies and most of the worst troubles easily.

The idea I would place when making an OP character is either making them socially or emotionally awkward or disfunctional, or changing/narrating the views of others around said OP person, as they are, of course, absurdly OP and Strong, they ought to be taken seriously.

          JJK SPOILER WARNING, USING EXAMPLE.

For example Gojo from JJK was dealt with by sealing him away, as, if he had been free, he would have solved all of the troubles, or atleast be a big reason as to why the cursed spirits wouldn't be able to fully reach their objective, like a strong, really sturdy wall of bricks. So, thinking of the absurd strength and power that Gojo had, they chose first to send Toji to kill him, which he almost did, and then they solved it by sealing him away. That's why Gojo is great as a OP Character, he is a force to be reckoned, someone to be respected and feared.

Atleast, that's my view of it, thanks for reading if you did! 😄
