WHY is your Raiden so heartbreaking!! 😭 And also such a gay lil mess, my heart was doing little angsty flips both from the tragedy and from every time he was Very Aware of Snake’s touch. He deserves so much better always, poor guy 💔
Also I don’t know how you do it, but you absolutely nailed Otacon’s voice - Snake’s too, but there’s something about the syntax and punctuation in Otacon’s that makes me hear it in my head exactly as if I had already heard him say the line in-game.
And speaking of voices, Raiden on the codec to Snake - my first reaction was that he was surprisingly articulate/wordy/something like that, and then I realized: he sounds how he sounded on the codecs in MGS2. He’s not in fight-or-flight mode and only saying what he needs to get stuff done, he’s giving details and talking about feelings/his past and like… verbally, noticeably more relaxed even though he’s talking about the trauma. Because he’s talking to Snake again. ❤️
