    You know, given how you bestowed upon Jonah a redemption arc in the previous fic, I predict this story will go one of two ways (since I don’t think you’ll just copy the movie’s ending).

    1. Ren lives and restores his relationship with his father.

    2. Ren sacrifices himself trying to save everyone and dies tragically in his father’s arms, and Ishiro has to face the fact it was his shitty parenting that led to his child’s death, and now he will never get closure with him.

    I’m hoping for ending 2 because of the *tragedy* but you’re an excellent enough writer to make any ending work.
