when you said that the character you'd be focusing on for the friends of hermitcraft fic would be a surprise, my first guess was actually bigb! he's a life series guy we hadn't seen yet at all so he seemed like a safe bet. really enjoyed reading his and pearl's dynamic here! nosy neighbors my beloveds <3 pearl is honestly one of my favorite characters in this au (totally not because she also happens to be my favorite hermit) and getting to see more of her is always a joy, as is seeing her having buddies! i like that she gets to have lots of cool significant relationships with people in the cast without any of them needing to be romantic, it's quite refreshing :D
i'm honestly a tad surprised it took this long to get a friendship going on between two undercover hybrids who don't know each other's secrets. i mean i guess we kinda have that with cub and the main gang, but it's the first time it's shown directly and it was super cute! very excited to see how their lil friendship is gonna escalate, given both of their secrets. should be quite fun! also the image of scott and pearl arguing at bigb's yarn shop got a giggle out of me, i'm looking forward to seeing that go down in the future!! keep up the great work :D
