    i definitely understand the consensus for the lack of love for herbert's revenge - it definitely is rose tinted glasses for me, i was like 9 when i got the game; i think that makes whatever you're going to do with it all the more exciting though!! excited to see how you write it all 👁️

    regarding your comment on replaying the missions: if you weren't aware, there's a few different volunteer run-and-moderated club penguin's around! the reason i actually went looking for this fic was because i found a good one after the previous big one shut down - i know it's unethical to some but i couldn't go without telling you! it's newcp.net (and there's a referral code system for extra coins on registration, which i'm more than happy to give you mine for!!)

      To be fair, I was like 16-17 when I first played Herbert's Revenge, and I still think it rocked hahah it was super cool finally finding out what that statue at the Mine Shack was about after all those years. It really was a shame that there was so little original content to it, especially compared to the first game, because what little we got was genuinely great imo.

      And yeah, I'm aware there are several CPPSs out there - it's just not something I'm particularly interested in getting into. But honestly, I'm glad they're around! I've seen some really cool stuff from some of them, and it's awesome to see people that are still passionate about Club Penguin doing great work like this :D

        i definitely think having the first game being chock full of content is part of the reason why herbert's revenge didn't hit home for some, but sometimes you enjoy a game even when subjectively it may not be as good haha.
