I usually try to leave long comments but I don’t have time. I really think you are doing brilliantly with the tangle of motivations and perceptions and I found Babs especially illuminating. (Steph as the Young Justice Bat is so interesting. I have slightly mixed feelings because I want Tim to have his friends but Steph bringing that chaotic Gotham energy to the group and having a chance to fine tune her planning and help run the team is also amazing.)
I also have mixed feelings about Tim kinda being an outsider to YJ, but I wanted to highlight how this situation has created positives (e.g. chiller Bruce, Jason not going full homocide) and negatives (Tim is worse off, YJ is injured as a result). Hopefully that is coming through, and I believe he will bond with them again in the future, even if I never explore it in this fic specifically
It is coming through! Everything has a cost and you’ve done fantastically displaying it. (And it’s kind of nice to see Steph getting out into the heroic community more!)
Thanks so much for writing! And it’s fun knowing some of your thoughts on what may happen in the future or even post fic.
