  1. What unholy creature did Percy draw? Why was Poseidon so concerned?? I first I thought he drew the the Orphitarius, but then it said " you couldn’t make out its face as it looked like it was hidden by dark floating strains of hair, but some parts peeking out you could see what looked to be broken pieces of shells, it had two sets of arms and its bottom haft looked more like a satyr but not really, it’s didn’t look like Grover’s legs" and not "cow-snake aquatic creature"

Wait, you can make it so the mist only affects Percy (and mortals, obv)???? I know Poseidon is a god, but I thought the mist was like "either only mortals are affected, or it's powerful enought demigods have trouble seeing through". Maybe it's just that Annabeth can see easier through it as some Athena child power (yes, I'm petty her only power is to be smarter, they did her so dirty)?

I swear Poseidon is gonna be at his wits ends discovering his kid is on a quest traveling through the sea, but as he still has Zeus protection, he can't do anything more than watch and hope the trip goes for more than the solstice so the protection wears out and is able to bring him to Atlantis.

    1. ‘What unholy creature did Percy draw? Why was Poseidon so concerned??’ lol, basically Percy drew a gods true form, you know the form that typically kills mortals. (I’m definitely going for the Eldridge gods and they’re just playing at human).
The form is just rarely taken because it can also harm smaller gods and stuff, so typically they stick to a taller more human form.
For inspiration I’m using petermohrbacher on instagram, he makes these surreal humanoid creatures, I was trying to do with the vibe he had in his piece from Rahab, Angel of the Deep.

No it isn’t just Percy, the Mist is powerful and most demigods have trouble seeing through it if not trained (but Athena’s children as they see through it more often). Also depends on the child’s awareness of what’s around them. Like because Percy thinks himself safe and doesn’t see Tyson as a threat, the mist keeps everything human since he’s not looking to hard.
It’s why Annabeth had a hard time with monsters as a child. As seeing through the Mist also made her very clear to monsters.

Poseidon is still probably cursing Zeus’s name, but he’s trying to be good and repair their relationship. The thought has cross his mind 100% of time passing enough when he could grab Percy without consequences, or something bad happens and Percy is hurt enough to take him to Atlantis. It’s the overprotective nature, he can’t help it.
(A nature Percy will get as well when it comes to Tyson).

      1. Yasss! Eldridch horrors are IN! why do so little authors mention the fact that gods take a human form to not smite mortals??? I want my fics with a Poseidon having currents for hair and a mix of sea creature parts making his body.

I mean, she was targeted at /7/, there had to be something to make her such a monster magnet...

I now have this mental image of Percy aggressively hugging Tyson doing the "I only had him for a day, but if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone here and then myself" meme all while Poseidon is hugging Percy and nodding.

        1. Yep, it’s true. I don’t know if your on tiktok or instagram but I recommend theangelincarnate hound of Achilles series, lots of fun Eldridge gods.
But for my story while their true form will come out when angered or high emotions, they don’t show it much, again mainly cause it effects weaker gods and their workers.

          Yeah, poor Annabeth for sure.

You say that as a joke but I was messaging my friend about later chapters and they sent that picture with the ‘Percy with Tyson’ captioned.
