Comment on This Dreamcrossed Twilight

  1. Sometimes I wonder how it is that just a few (subjectively) written words can cause actual physical responses in their readers - the adrenaline before a jump - with no notion if it'll end in a swift death or an exciting (good and bad) journey - definitely gave me an elevated heartbeat here ^^'

On another note (which probably doesn't come as a surprise considering my ongoing joy over your crafts here) I do think it's the sign of a *good* author if their writing can evoke such feelings (well, apart from a few were they have managed to stay in my dubious hall of fame for managing to give me feelings like a most serious case of disgust and discomfort by just managing to phrase things in such a mundane if somehow off-putting way that it amazes me still they are considered world-literature stars *shudder* x.x)
well; no thanks but I'll gladly take fan-fiction such as yours any day over THAT and will stand by this till I'll get cozy in my well earned spot in hell.

So, yeah, I'm sitting on the edge of my seat for the next chapter after this mournfull (cause the silmarillion and the whole Feanor family gives me FEELINGS T^T) and foreboding (I mean, I'm pretty sure we all know who we are waiting for, aye? ô.o) built-up <3
At least we got some spying done, even if it didn't really help poor Type's confidence - or it did though not without a certain sense of hurt/despair/pain/hope(?) (honestly, is there one of those surprisingly fitting collective expressions the english language is so good in for a word expressing a type of positive foreboding?)

Also, thank you for your kind answers to the previous comments <3 and I'm (admittedly also rather selfishly) glad to hear we don't have to worry about you getting struck by the various AO3 curses or your health ^^' ...only death xox

And also glad about Artanis not being an Impostor *laugh* ...
    ...
Though, isn't that something an imposter would say? D:

Anyhow, thanks again for a tasty chapter! - and continuing to skillfully thread the line of having us vultures hang on your cliffs =.= 'tis a fine line to thread indeed... <3

Oh, do you mean the chapter end notes? Or was it something in the text itself? (I know the feeling of going into a paragraph all calm and relaxed and coming out of it with a heartbeat normally experienced after a sprint.)
Thank you very much for your kind notes, I'm very happy you enjoy my writing style. On a more general note, I couldn't agree more. Writing to me is as much craft as it is emotion, and there are so-called classics I have set aside because the only feeling they managed to instill in me in any capacity was overwhelming boredom, whereas it is fan fiction which most often left me with an elevated heartbeat and a lump in my throat. (I guess it is logical, in a way, since fan fiction is a genre of literature that is overwhelmingly focused on character relationships and emotions, whereas literary fiction especially is very plot-heavy and its subtext is often cryptic to the degree of being hermetic, as well as elusive and more intellectually focused.)

Celebrimbor's family is a disaster, and I love them, which is why I won't leave out any opportunity to let their drama take ... well. Not centre stage. But stage left. Slightly off centre. The place in the semi-background where you look at when your eyes slide off the main actor while he's giving a longish monologue and discover one of the background actors loitering about and doing funny moves.
Also, yay for spying, even if Celebrimbor doesn't see half as clearly as he would have hoped for after encountering Sauron. It would have been a lot easier if he was either fully evil or fully good, but the opposites contained in Annatar/Sauron (best friend/Morgoth's lieutenant, cruel/gentle, honest/deceiving, intelligent and understanding/mindlessly brutal) are impossible to reconcile. What is he supposed to do with that?

You're very welcome! It's a joy to receive comments such as yours and reply to them, and I also understand the desire to not become invested in a fic only to discover that it has been abandoned. Excepting sudden Author Existence Failure, I promise you this story will be completed, haha!

      You're right, it totally is!

Well, as for now she hasn't backstabbed anyone. Yet. Let's hope it stays that way. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
