    Law is probably lucky Luffy saw that, his "something is wrong here" senses are gonna be tingling.

    and poor Law, on some level he probably hoped Doffy would let him go once he was married.

      Luffy may not be interested in marriage (yet), but his Luffy senses are definitely tingling. He knows something is up.

      The sad thing for Law is that, because Luffy has such a horrible reputation in this universe as the Pirate Prince, he's expecting someone as bad as Doffy; meanwhile, Doffy can play off the murder plot as "rescuing" Law from his horrible husband. But, of course, Doffy is just selfish and refuses to let anyone go.
